THE POWER OF A HEADSHOT
It’s your virtual handshake in this Information Age
An updated headshot builds trust with your audience - the key to maximizing strong leads
Your best smile says a sincere, “hello, I’m an authentic human, and I’m ready to serve you well.”
WHAT TO WEAR
Solid colors are typically best for professional headshots.
Typically best to avoid:
shiny reflective materials, like silk ties (jewelry is OK if it doesn't detract from your outfit or face)
busy patterns like stripes, plaid, and prints
short sleeves (unless you have a jacket over)
If you have a lighter skin tone, avoid lighter colors that could make you appear washed out
If you have medium or darker skin tones, avoid earth tones that are similar to your skin tones
Rule of thumb: brighter colors can express youth and darker colors express maturity. Keep this in mind when considering the image that will reflect your professional persona.
